Day Missed (Updated at 9:10)

9:10 Update: Only 2 have emailed me. I think it goes like this  :(
Anyway, I will be in school tomorrow, hopefully for the duration.  However, I will be free MX/G (first MX) and F block if you have questions on the paper.  To my A block, see you in class. Papers due Thursday for you and Friday for B, C, D blocks.

7:30 Update: my schedule for tomorrow is still up in the air. I plan to be in school. A block, I plan to be in class! I will probably update again tonight, as I'm just leaving the hospital.

Note:  I will be updating again tonight!  Please check back!

4:30 pm Update:  I have only heard from 1 person regarding help on the paper.  Below is the response I got from that student (Gary Lai).  This serves as proof that I can help you on email!  I have also included the questions he had and answers I gave in case you have the same questions.  My answers are highlighted:

From Gary:
                           Hi Mr. Culley,

Thank you so much. That was very helpful.

Should the two analysis within one paragraph prove the same thing?

The form of propaganda is the same, but the paragraph should explore 2 different ways it was effective. The example I gave in class was newspapers--and the newspapers targeted people who wanted strong leadership/intellectuals who wanted answers AND it those who just wished for simple solutions/messages. Therefore, I started by stating they wished to reach a larger audience with newspapers.

Or should the transition sentence function like a new topic sentence and the analysis followed prove the transition sentence? Or the transition sentence leads to a slightly different direction since the two analysis would be slightly different? The transition should act like a mini-topic sentence in which you change ideas as to the way the form of propaganda was effective. So for newspapers, I said something like: In addition to appealing to the intellect of the people, the Nazis also broadcasted simple messages that would reach the uneducated poorer class.

This morning's post:
Hi all. Due to circumstances beyond my control, I am not in school. As of now, I don't know how long I will be out. I will continue to update the blog, so please check it sporadically. For now, here is the plan:

1. Any and all questions or help you need with the paper can be done by email. If your questions warrant a discussion with me, I will make that arrangement with you. Email me questions and if you need to, the part of your paper in question.

2. The paper due date for A block will be Thursday. For B, C, D blocks, it will be Friday. If your paper is done, please spend time proof reading and editing.

3. Start emailing me questions as soon as you can so I have time to respond!!

Thanks for your cooperation. Again, I will update you as soon as I know what is going on here.
